Project Summary

In this project we have learned about the issues of unemployment and discrimination. In order to learn about these subjects we have attended a workshop by career specialist Ülle Soonik and we have made discussions about these issues. The final product of the project has been a movie about unemployment and discrimination.

The first day the French group traveled from Tallinn to Hiiumaa and the Estonians were waiting for them in Kalana. We played some games to get to know each other and to learn our likes, dislikes and goals in this project.

In the morning of the second day we traveled around Hiiumaa: we visited the sightseeing of Hiumaa and we had lunch at Soera Farm. In the evening we went to Sauna and we swam in the sea.

Ülle came on the third day and she talked about the themes of the project and we played some games. In the afternoon we started to think about ideas for the film and at night we watched an Estonian movie called Mina Olin Siin.

On the fourth day we went hiking to the Ristna RMK house and the people who works there showed us things brought from the sea. In the afternoon we went to Randmae and some of us swam on the sea and then we learned African dance and several games. In the evening there was a concert. Also this day the French girls did African hairstyles.

The next day we designed t-shirts with the logo of the project. This day we had a visit from the National agency. In the afternoon we started filming the movie and in the evening the French cooked a traditional French apple cake.

On the 14th we worked on the movie and learned dances from the French group.

The next morning we started preparing for the afternoon Café in Kärdla: we prepared cakes and African food. Then we went shopping in Kärdla and in the way back we stopped at Torvanina where some of us swimmed.

Yesterday we finished the movie and in the afternoon we talked about the things that we have learned during the project. Then, in the evening, we went to Sauna again and did a barbeque.

Finally today we talked about the plan to do a project in France next year and we prepared our trip to Tallinn tomorrow where we are meeting a student from Hiiumaa who works in Tallinn and visiting the old town.

Day 5

Today we designed T-shirts, filmed and soon we will eat French food.
On Sunday we have a one-day-cafe at Rannapaargu. Come and see us at 16.00 - 18.00!

Day 3 and 4

On Wednesday we did a workshop with career specialist Ülle Soonik from HUPS.

And in the afternoon we did brainstorming for the film.

Later, at night, we watch an Estonian movie with subtitles in English.

On Thursday morning we walked to the Ristna Looduskeskus where we were shown the building and a room full of objects recovered from the sea. We also walked on a trail that goes through the forest around the house.

In the afternoon the bus took us to Randmäe Puhketalu were we had some time to swim and play games and then the concert began.

Trip in Hiiumaa.

Noored tõid saarele UFO

Augusti alguses saabusid Hiiumaale 11 prantslast, et korraldada üks vinge projekt „UFO“ (Unemployment - Future of Ours?). Töötuse ja diskirimineerimise teema valisid eesti (täpsemalt Hiiumaa KÜG) ja prantsuse noored ise kokkuleppel. Ühistegevuse käigus tutvutakse kultuuride erinevustega.

Algas kõik 2010.a. kevadel eesti tüdrukute huvi läbi, kui Euroopa Noorte leheküljel avastati palju toredaid mõtteid projektideks. Nii saigi üks neist välja valitud ja Euroopa Noorte Eesti bürooga ühendust võetud. Hiiumaa-poolseks projekti korraldajaks on Hiiumaa Teavitamis- ja Nõustamiskeskus HUPS. Jeaunes En-Action on grupp noori Prantsusmaalt Épernay'st, kes olid nõus meile sellel suvel külla tulema ning kui hästi läheb, siis meid ka järgmine aasta vastu võtma.

Projekt algas 9. augustil ja kestab 10 päeva. Seni oleme tutvustanud neile eestlaste tavasid, kombeid ja sööke. Näiteks teisipäeval toimus Hiiumaal väike ringreis, õhtul aga käisime saunas ja jõime kalja. Oleme vestelnud diskrimineerimise ja religiooni teemadel ning saanud rohkem aimu sellest, mis toimub tööturul. Neljapäeval ühinesid projekti noored Hiiumaa noortekeskuste ja Kaitseliidu noorte ühiste suvepäevadega Randmäe Puhketalus.

Reede õhtul saame ka ise süüa prantsuse toitu ning kuna suurem osa külalistest on pärit Aafrikast, siis tehakse meie noortele aafrika soengud ja tantsitakse Aafrika rütmide saatel.

Pühapäeval on kavas korraldada ühepäevakohvik, kus noored proovivad ise sellel erialal hakkama saada. Kohvikusse on oodatud kõik! Täpsem info kohviku asukoha kohta leiad aadressilt http://ufohiiumaa.blogspot.com/

Projekti lõpuks valmib noorte enda ideede järgi film, mille abil noored saavad edasi anda omandatud teadmised töötuse ja diskrimineerimise kohta. Film on mõeldud teistele inimestele- eriti noortele-teadmiste jagamiseks, nende mõttemaailma avardamiseks. Käesolev projekt on ellu viidud Euroopa Ühenduse programmi Euroopa Noored toetuse abil.

First day

It´s first day in Kalana. French arrieved about 3 p.m. Estonians and french mixed into seperated rooms, we played some falmiliar games, everybody had good time.
